What do you guys think?
I had a lot of trouble with wrap 1, etc in zbrush so I just did a manual tile in PS.
It's meant to be a realistic texture, but it turned out to be more of a hand painted style.
i'd say that looks like a very nice.
the color overlay is a bit too much and might look better if it was restricted only to some stones to get more variation from further away. paint in some darker or lighter values on some stones too so they don't look like they all line up perfectly. the moss could need some highlights as well considering that the lighting on the stones seems baked into the diffuse texture - if it's not and thats the preview with the normal map applied then you should disregard that statement .
if you can you might want to consider tweaking that one very prominent crack so you don't notice that the same brick is used 4 times anymore.
vertex paint sounds like the most viable solution.
This last one looks good! its just a diffuse map or it has Normals and Specular maps also?
It's just the diffuse. I sculpted the rocks in zbrush, baked the AO, then did some poly painting(that turned out crap)fixed it, did some additional painting and made it tile in PS.

keep at it, looks very promising.

Here's a bunch of tutorials that helped me. I then took bits and pieces and just made the textures my own way.
