Topogun AO map help

Hey guys,

I've seen some really nice examples of AO maps coming out of Topogun along the way, but I'm not having much luck getting nice ones myself. Mine are usually a little less crisp, or faded, (than the examples I've seen) and almost always have black lined/edge/artifacts on them along the edges of the low res mesh. I'm also using Hardware rendering, not software. Maybe Hardware isn't as good?

Anyway, if any kind, compassionate soul out there is getting nice results with Topogun AO baking, could you find it in your heart to post your settings or process to help this lowly game artist out? It would be truly appreciated.
