Animator (m/f)
Sproing Interactive Media is a games developer located in Vienna, Austria. Since its foundation in 2001 Sproing has become an international company with a track record of over 30 published games on console and PC. Sproing offers the opportunity to be part of an international team, to work on high quality games for top platforms, and to advance with a constantly growing company.
For our current multi-platform projects we are looking for a skilled Animator. You will be working on-site within a team of in-house and external artists.
Requirements
o Minimum of 2 years professional animation experience
o Thorough understanding of animation principles
o Experience with and/or readiness to work with motion capture
o Ability to apply a high level of attention to detail as required
o Ability to work within a team environment
o Proficiency in at least one animation tool (Maya, 3D Studio Max, Softimage etc.)
o Familiarity with rigging characters for games
o Ability to juggle multiple assignments effectively
o Good written and spoken English
Of Advantage
o Completion of at least 1 published title
o Thorough knowledge of rigging and animating characters with Maya
o Excellent problem solving skills, working within the technical constraints of
game engines
o Experience dealing with motion capture assets
o A formal education in traditional art techniques
o German language
Responsibilities
o Create convincing animation for a wide variety of characters in various game
genres, in accordance with the project style guides
o Take direction constructively and be able to communicate with other project
departments
o Export characters and animations using the studios proprietary tools
o Work with motion capture data to produce game-ready assets
o Be able to stick to timescales and deadlines accurately
