I am currently building a maxScript which allows people to store object into a geometry editor which allows them to again create them as if they were creating a simple primitive like a sphere with a touch of a button. The script includes image gallery for viewing objects they want to create and a category system which allows them to go ahead and organize their objects for easy finding.
It exports in OBJ and import it for you at the touch of a button an I do have it functioning with OBJ at the moment. It saves single objects so as long as everything is attached to one piece of geometry its good.
What i need is information on the file types everyone likes to import and export out of. I figured OBJ was safe game but if there are other types people use let me know.
