Hello to everyone in polycount :)

My name is Anton, I've only just joined this forum so I can share my works with everyone and hopefully get some feedback to help me out.

I've been working on a personal project and I would love to share my progress with all of you. This model is a pair of night vision goggles ispired by the design of the Eyeclops goggles : http://tipsfamilia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/eyeclops-night-vision1.jpg

I have no idea if these are even real nv goggles or just a novelty toy, but I just think they look awesome, so I decided to make my own version of them.

Here I have the highpoly model that I will use to bake the detail into the game mesh. It's still WIP so feel free to post any suggestions or critiques. Any comments are more than welcome.

    Hello Polycount :),

Today I want to share with you a new character model I created for Lukewarm Media's upcoming "Primal Carnage" title. This on is a "Pyro" character class somewhat like the one in TF2 but with a different attitude. Eventually this character will also have a flamethrower as his main weapon, for now it's just whiskey :P I hope you all like it. Thank you.

7461 Tris, 2048 textures for head and body

Hi antonkoz, clean model and nice textures on those night vision goggles. I only got one critique, the tip of the tapered eye piece(cylindrical pieces) is slightly distorted and I saw a video(racer445 tutorials) on how to fix those distortion by shift + smudging the problem areas in photoshop. I believe the distortion is caused by the cage not properly set up.

Thanks hostilis for the comment, I will look into that tutorial. I do actually have a method of fixing it, which involves breaking the model up, so it forces the rays to project straight out, but maybe this guy has a less destructive method, so Thanks very much for the reference :)

Hello everyone at Polycount. I wanted to share another character with you guys, I hope you like it. I did this one for a friend, based on a concept from Fernando Olivera at Ferol Creations http://www.ferolcreations.com/ for a small game project he is working on.

Modeled Highpoly in Zbrush, Lowpoly (5520 tris) in Maya; Baked with xNormal; Textured in Photoshop and presented in Marmoset toolbag

Hope you guys like what I came up with Thank you

Such beautiful sculpting on the cloth detail, it's a shame that none of it can be seen on the textures. I really would go with a lighter color scheme that showed off all the detail. I think as long as you keep the materials defined as they are now, it wouldn't get all that busy.

Thanks Razgriz, you are right the texture is much too dark on the cloth. So I wen ahead and made it lighter. I hope this is better:

Hi all, here is a new addition to my Sketchbook: Flying Genie Head, modeled all in Zbrush (apart from the feather, used maya hair for that, couldn't figure out a way to make it in Zbrush) also textured with polypaint and then photoshoped several passes including the smoke and flares etc.

I hope you all like it, let me know what you think Thank you

Looking good Anton! Is the smoke done in post? Or do you actually have planes for those?

Thanks guys :) fonfa, you make me blush.

@uohm: The jewel has transparency as post otherwise it's composited from different passes rendered out of zbrush

Hey guys, I've been out of touch for a while now but I found some free time to do a model for myself, so I made this roman guy here. I tried to recreate the likeness of Lucius Vorenus from HBO's Rome as best I could, I might not have been that successful this time around, but I learned a lot and I hope my next character will be better :) Hope everyone likes what I came up with. Thank you.

Hey Anton, nice job on the roman soldier, I instantly recognized him as Lucius Vorenus! I think the likeness is quite good, but the open mouth slightly lets it down. The untextured version with the closed mouth looks a lot more recognizable. Perhaps you could upload some close ups of his face without helmet but with his mouth closed?

    Hey Bolt :)

Thanks a lot for your comments, I'm really sorry to take so long to respond, been a crazy week. I hope yours has been nice :) I'm really stoked to hear that you were able to recognize him, likenesses have always been a huge challenge for me, so Im glad to know I'm improving. I edited my post and added a textured version with him without a helmet and closed mouth, no pose though hope that's ok. Thanks again for your reply, really makes me feel good to hear that people enjoy my works, hope I will be able to post a lot more in the future.
