Hey PC Folk,
3dmotive.com has just put out our second mini-release for the month. We're experimenting a bit between our larger full DVD releases so we'd like to know what you think about smaller, focused releases for a much lower price point.
Check our latest and let us know what you think!

especially for 15$ each
the udk video however is practically sold, I'm just learning UDK. I'm away this weekend, but when I get back, I am gonna buy it for sure.
I like the idea of smaller lower priced videos, its great for touching up one area you want to improve in. But obviously you have to have some larger vids too :P
Reason I wanna check it out is that I'm always interested to check other peoples UV workflow. It's one of those fields that no 2 artists do the same.
What I would like to see in the future tho, is UV mapping for environment art, as in, instead of unique mapping (I'm supposing this tut only covers that) a tutorial that teaches good and smart ways to unwrap geometry and reuse textures and/or parts of a texture.
As far as how "complex" the UVW unwrapping video is, we focused on the most commonly used tools you are likely to need for a vast majority of unwrapping tasks. I think that some people tend to over-complicate the daunting number of tools that are available, making unwrapping a frustrating task.
The video focuses on scaling back some of those frustrations and making it a much easier process for everyday props and assets. Granted, I'm not unwrapping characters or extremely high poly meshes, but the video should catch you up on a large number of common situations when unwrapping.
We are always looking for feedback from people who have seen our videos!
Thanks guys for them all and keep it going !
