    Bravo!!

Very nice layout. It's very minimalistic and puts all the info someone would expect to see when visiting a portfolio right infront. The added video reels to your projects are also very good.

Great side, superb work! One thing, the video on the quarry page is set to private and requires a password.

Nice very good, only crit is to make your scenes look more interesting to look at, for example put some more stronger lights and color in the scene. And put more funny props in to make it more alive.

The site is good but the art needs some work.

I love the Red engine, a really good piece. My main concern is the Museum and Tekkonkinkreet pieces. You don't seem to have nailed the concepts at all, the concept shouldn't always be a blueprint but you need to capture the soul of the artwork!

The museum is blandly lit and under defined. What is that mass of green through the hole in the roof? What happened to the rich palette and all the foliage? The water doesn't read as water. Look at the depth of contrast in the shadows on the concept then look at yours, your shapes are being lost in bland lighting. Pump up the saturation of the textures, relight it, sort the water and add more plants. 2 weeks work and you will have an excellent piece.

The Tekkonkinkreet city is one of the most vibrant environments ever but you have made it bland and derivative. What happened to the crazy sign near the top of the concept? It's ace, where is it? Where have most of the murals gone? The concept has a lovely composition that draws you in but you are presenting us with a wall of buildings that appear very flat, there's no depth. The textures look very first pass! Oh, I've just noticed that it's still wip! Not a big fan of wips on portfolio sites, I would want to see that you can finish something to a high standard. Get on it and get it finished if you are looking for work.

You have some very nice work, Alex.

I have to agree with easterislandnick though.

The museum is missing the beauty of the original concept. Since it is your most impressive work from your site, I would put the Tekkonkinkreet city on hold and finish the museum.
I don't know if CryEngine2 supports vertex painting, but that would help with adding moss around the scene.

Your RedEngine scene is quite impressive too. You got the machine animating and with particle effects! Nice :D
I feel like you could push the background further though in terms of color and the overall scene in lighting.
It reminds me of a boss fight in the Metroid Prime series; I can't recall what was the name of the boss, but it had a similar layout to this scene. If anyone could help me with remembering, that would be great =p

Overall, one of the best portfolio's posted in a while. Your one step away from greatness!

So youre the one who started the in-engine vertex painting trend at Ai-LA....stop it! :P

Alex, I like your work. I agree with everyone on top though. That concept is so awesome and you only took a fraction of it. The rest of your work is quality as well. I'd take out the Riven prop though..it doesn't add anything positive to your overall piece. Your signs cool, but I think it would work with more stuff, like maybe putting it up on a billboard that has lights or something.

My one major critique of your website is that red overlay when you hover over. Kill that.

Yea, after I introduced it to everyone in the Swamp level of Exodus, it started to spread into the Demo classes >.<

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply. The feedback has been very helpful and I really appreciate all of it.

For starters I've taken down the Tekkon Kinkreet environment until I can do it justice and I'll be looking into doing some changes to the Museum and possibly the Red Engine. Those two were some of the first pieces I made 2 years ago for my graduation portfolio and I have learned a lot since then.

Also I uploaded the correct reel with the correct spelling in the title.

    Thanks again! :)

Incredible stuff! I did notice though that at the 6th second of your "red engine" video, the bottom left gear seems to have an error. Its almost like the normal is inverting.

Nice portfolio design and clearly shows me your work. Although I prefer the typical click image and it pops out enlarged thing.

Only crit is that your work is a bit washed out. Where's ze colour in those lovely shots.
