The colours - are they supposed to look like they're faded by the sun? If so, you'll want to take light direction into consideration. The bottom and hidden parts wouldn't be as faded as the top for instance. Something like such:

i'd say that's a demonstration of determination paying off. really nice work on the whole piece and it makes me feel ashamed for not painting leaks and such by hand. i shall do so more often from now on!
