Hey guys,
Another late start here. I've been wanting to do a Machinarium tribute of sorts and I thought this would be a good opportunity.
Challegenges:
- UDK, I know the basics but it's still totally mind boggling to me. I need to get comfortable with it.
- This will be my first full environment with out a director or designer telling me what to do.
-less then a month left O_O
I'm inspired by Captain Commando in the way that the levels are extremely short and it was my favorite game as a kid (also final fight). I'm going to try and model in access points for the bad guys e.g. elevator, staircases.
Machinarium the game will be used as direct concept art but I'll move things around and make it look new. I want to try and get the warm sketchy look, spec will be light if any.
This is a super rough block out in UDK, nothing is final. I haven't fully figured the camera out yet.
My goal is to get the camera in UDK working as well as finish a couple of the major assets by the end of this week.
Also this is my first post here at PC, I've been around for years and thought it was about time I tried to make some thing to share.
