Hi guys, could do with some help here.
I'm wondering if there's a way to bevel edges from inside to out?!
Heres an image of what I mean.
Instead of smoothing them as in "rounding off" the canister has a kind of groove cut into it. Is there a specifc too in maya to create this?
I've tried to bevel edges with a - value but its not working.
Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

To be a complete noob, is there an easy way to select an edge loop?
I'm used to low poly stuff, so individually selecting a loop around a high poly cylinder can take a while!

Been searching for a while without much luck, or is there a script that till do this?
