just picked up my new 21" cintiq today... futzed around with a bit but I've run into a small snag lol. For several reasons my system's default locale is set to japan, so the radial menu for the express keys shows up in japanese... not being completely literate in japanese, is there a way to switch this back to english without having to change my default locale and break some other software I use?

nice! yeah man, sorry to hear u are having issues, i dont have a cintiq but I'm coming to u with another question, where did you purchase yours? I'm trying to find a good place but almost all of them don't have them in stock.

I got mine from a local computer store here in canada. I waited 1 month to get it after I put a deposit down.

Apparently an old driver (4.78) allows language selection. In the ones since then they force automatic detection. Bah.

well so far I've been plugging in the japanese to google translate and it's not coming back as nonsense... hopefully all of them translate properly. else I won't know what they do

I'm loving it... so much nicer than a plain tablet... a week into it so far and it really is a lot easier to do things on it than a tablet. I never felt confident or comfortable drawing on my intuos before, and drawing on the cintiq almost... ALMOST makes me want to forget about paper.

Anyone who works in art and can afford it really should look into getting one.
