maya 2011 connect components in the context sensitive menu?

So I see in maya 2011 they have finally added the connect tool from max by default, but I can't see it anywhere in the context sensitive menu's, am I missing it our did they just leave it out making it an inconsistent workflow. Better yet anyone know how to easily add new entries to the context sensitive menu's they should have built an editor for that.
