portfolio question...!!!

Hey guys...

I am trying to build a portfolio to break into the industry.
I have some assets and evironment stuff from old days but I would like to just trash them and make some new arts..
My question is how many art pieces(assets and scences) are considered "Good Enough" quantitywise..
I know it is always the quality, not quantity but I just want to find out what you guys think.

My plan is putting two decent environments(one organic, and one hardsurface) and a couple of misc props into my portfolio..

Sounds like a great plan IMO

and like you said its just about quality not quantity although you want to have enough just show your skill in multiple assets. You dont need a ton but a small handful or really well done assets/envios is a good plan.

Those ideas sound good enough to me, after you get that done, spend more and more time on your projects making everything absolutely perfect, lighting, renderings etcetera.

Just trying to help, but I don't know what helps anyone break into the industry except friendship with someone already there (regardless of skill) or family, besides that I have no clue, hard work maybe...

Two amazing scenes and some props is enough. Just make them amazing and game ready! If you are ace breaking in is very achievable, you don't need to have inside connections just a bit of luck and some badass art!

Yep sounds like a good plan to me too.

It might help to post your work along the way and get as much feedback as possible before moving to the next stage, other wise you're first project might be just a warm up before you create anything portfolio worthy.
