You have basic understanding of drawing wich's really great. The next step is to start studing anatomy, perspective law and digital painting. Its not necessarly going to be easy but i can see that you have sleeping talent that want to get out.
Best advice that i can give you is : work hard, study hard and it will all come together in the next few month's and years.

Great links having a browse through them now! I'll start doing more sketches of detail and anatomy and see how I get on. Guess I'll post up some sketches soon
Take them in news papers, magazine and book. You can do quick pose with this site http://www.posemaniacs.com/ . Try the 30 sec drawing and the other tool.
Hi there! I'll give you some crits on the female posture you did. Some general features when trying to portrait a female body, are ofcourse the forms of the female. Some guidelines are; shoulders and hips are almost at the same vertical line - when looking from the front(makes the waist look smaller than it really is). Try and project those forms on the posture you did, and you'll get a more feminin look on her.
Overall I like the pose alot since it adds to her personality. Keep it up dude
P.S. posemaniacs.com is an awesome page.
Another great page is -> http://www.characterdesigns.com | To the left under Photoset, you can find alot of great poses and such.
Hi eoq Thanks for the crits, I think I'll do that and slim down the waist, she's pretty straight on the ref photo but I don't mind slimming it down if you think it'll make a better picture!
Something I'm working on, along with my anatomy studies, I've been doing that Posemaniacs 30 seconds thing once a day or so (thanks DarkStar!!) and I used some ref photos from the characterdesigns for this (thanks Eoq!!) and hopefully she doesn't look dislocated! The original pic is a screenshot from Super Streetfighter 4. I had a lot of problems with the pelvis area so I spent a lot of time on that, this is quite rough and I plan to colour it at some point
I tried to take the stylized picture (which is badly pixelated!) and make it into a real person style pose. I learned a lot I think.
ok, I don't want to make a mess of this so i thought I'd post this up to see if anyone has any crits about the form of this guy, anyone got any crits for me?
