This is my latest pice of work, it was for a competition that has now ended, I ran out of time to complete this fully but its at 90%+ done

The competition was to make an evironment based on 2 well known universes, for this I chose D&D and Star Trek as they where completely different to each other and a challange with the design and the construction where as most other entrys just focused on the construction.

The scene at this point is 33k tri's (limit 50k) and is taken from screen shots of UDK.

It was suggested that I come here for critisisim, I have heard many things about this site, that your reviews aer harsh but are helpfull. so heres to hoping that I get only nice comments :) (joking there- go ahead give ti your best shot, rip it to bits!)
things that I know need a bit more work, bone texture gets stretched near the end, the dragon texture wasnt completed, a couple of objects seem to float (missing geometry I wasnt able to finish in time) and a gap in he wall that I have since fixed.

Here is the level to download and try out, you need the 2010-08 UDK to run it.

I'd say its way below 90%. It needs a lot more work. While there are some nice individual pieces, There is no real direction in the scene. Why are the stairs leading to the Dragon? What is this room for? Where is it? Things like that.

to try and answer your questions.
where is it - its anywhere, fictional area, a cave
what is the room for - Create a glorified throne / base camp environment based on a cross breed character. that was the competition title, thats all its going to be used for.
Why are the stairs leading to the Dragon - The original idea was to have the dragon slightly bigger and have a high poly toung (got to the piont where I deleted the low poly) have it animated purched up on the middle bit (warpcore) to jump down, open its mouth and its toung formed into a chair (hense the throne environment)

The ptherpart to this wich I tried and failed (bug / limitation of UDK) have the entire scene dissapear and turn into a room (would be the star trek holodeck) but alot of issuses arised when making all assets dynamicaly go transparent.

    Edit*
this is the quick story I came up for it, dont particualy like it tbh (could of made it sound more beliveable and not losely based upon events) and is why I held back on it.

An Elvan starship captain one day decided to go on a quest to find the usual, pot O' Gold and become the local hero, little did he know what he was in for, to obtain the Jewls he had to battle the biggest cave troll ever, obviously as always in D&D he was able to do the impossible, defeating the toll but during this time little did he know there was a dragon circling around above, the dragon being a teen white dragon saw this Elf smite this troll down and respected him for it and became his pet, to celebrate the killing of th troll he used his starship to beam a worp core and transporter pad into the dead trolls body allowing him to travel anywhere whle the dragon stays and looks after the place, or if needed, can fly out.
