In a better effort to force myself to lurk less and post more here is a recent little fun project I did for myself. Not the most original but here goes...
My idea for death as inspired heavily from Darksiders:
super shweet mang, i really like the exhaggerated rhythms spiking back and forth, and his lil kilt thing with the screaming faces is crackin me up. nice
only thing i want to see more of is some crazy eyes of the inferno or something. his face is devoid of eyes or something
sweet concept, feels like everyones been kicking it up a notch in the painting department lately around here. Though am not a big fan of the blade as it is atm, I think the shading makes it feels cheaper then the rest.
I dunno if I am ever going to take this guy into 3d (I am a concept artist by trade). Although I did do this guy for a friend of mine to model out. Whenever he gets it done Ill be sure to have him post it up.
I do have a few zsculpts I plan on posting here soon-ish though...
I think my least favorite bit are the gauntlets, the feel a little out of place, and not as harmonious with the rest of the flow of the character. The knee-skulls and boot design works great, but for some reason the forearm gauntlets just feel a little awkward and off. I do like the stabby arm more than the "shield" arm (right vs left), i wonder if it'd work better if you beef the anatomy of the forearm up about 300% to make the gauntlet more flowing & fitting it'd work nicer.

Moose- Yea I had struggled with the gauntlets a fair bit and certainly don't disagree with you. Thanks for your comments.
