Zbrush 4 Cavity automasking not working?!

The cavity masking option in the brush palette doesn't seem to be working - only just noticed that as I'm using a lot of cavity polypainting at the moment.
Mask by cavity in the masking menu is functioning but it's displaying the mask which is obstructing the view. Any ideas? Does anyone else have the same problem?

Hit the View Mask button (ctrl+H)

Not working either ....

Even with your method it just don't work, polypaint doesn't recognize the mask unfortunately

You'll probably have to start posting specifics (mask settings, brush settings, screenshots, etc). Cause otherwise it seems to be working as expected on my end.

Cryrid is right, and this is a known issue. Brush menu automask is not working right (along with some other automask options apparently)

Workaround as shown, tool menu, mask by cavity, turn off show mask. I reckon they'll try to fix this in an update ;-)
