I've chosen to base my setting off of the upcoming Funcom MMORPG, The Secret World. I'm going to break my scene up into two main parts: Street and Subway. For this challenge, I will be using the UDK.
My Challenges:- Stylized Urban Textures
- Emissive Maps
- Animated Props in UDK
- Animated Textures in UDK
- Creepy atmospheric lighting
- Pulling off the transition from ground level to subway. (Haven't been to a subway in years...)
The Workflow:- Blockout the level/toss on some rough textures
- Fill up Street level and Subway with rough props
- Finalize level textures
- Finalize props
- Play with lighting till satisfaction is achieved!
- Celebrate with cake.
