3D Stitching help!

Hey guys i am trying to make something in leather but i have no idea how to do the Stitching i want to do something like this


Any idea how?
i use 3Ds max and Z brush

Is the end result going to be a high poly, or are you going to be making a low poly?

In zbrush, you could slap an alpha on the stitch brush.


I used one found here, but it shouldn't take much to make your own even.

I am doing the same as OP. Does it matter if it is high poly or low poly?
