Cool places in London (?)

Hey guys,

Sorry to bother you with a rather selfish question (and no interesting story to go with it).

Since I've seen a couple of 'london polycount meet up' threads, I figure there's a fair number of you living in London or having visited it before.

I'm heading with my girlfriend for London in September for 3 days and want to use this time efficiently.

So I was wondering; what are some of the coolest places in London?
I've been looking on sites like 'trustedplaces' and 'spottedbylocals', but I'd appreciate some geeky insights (as I'm a geek myself)

london is just such a huge monster of a place ( I live 60 miles out in a town used heavily by commuters) so do all the touristy stuff (south bank, Camden, Leicester square, covent garden etc then pick up a hidden london guide, there are a fiar few out there.
