Hello,
So here's my problem: I want to be able to view character models while texturing so I can see what it would look like in a video game. If I made a character's arm one solid color, for example, it would look awful in Max, but if it were in a game it wouldn't look quite as bad. Obviously I don't want that simple of textures, but my point is that it a texture (even a simple one) will look a lot different and usually better in a game engine.
I got the impression that Marmoset is generally geared more towards hard surface models, and it usually takes quite a bit of work to get a model into a game engine.
I was wondering if there's any shader or engine that is easy to use, free, and will make it so I can see how an organic model would look ingame.
Thanks for any response!

If you want to display it in an already completed level try UDK.
UDK is nice too, but its clearly not as "realtime update" as marmoset.
Thanks again.
