I was thing of Deform object with curve in maya
In short it would similar to Lattice but in curve and control point to deform object
Is there is way to do it ?
@ malcolm and CheeseOnToast thanks for feedback
I can't seem to get wire tool to get work.
I am moving curve but object is not deforms
Step i am doing are as following
Enter wire tool
Select polygon cylinder and hit enter
Select curve hit enter
when i try to move curve it does not deforms Cylinder
I have also moved cv point then also it not deforms object
Don't know were i am going wrong
On other half i got solution for hair with wrap deformer
here is references of hair
Idea is model hair with Cylinder then use wrap deformer to get around mesh
If there is any method doing hair ? would like try it out
For predator hair like this in Maya I'd definitely use the "Flow Path" tool that CheeseOnToast mentioned. Make the individual hair strand with the details as a straight mesh, then make curves and use the motion path animation tools to attach the objects to the curve.
Check out the Maya help for a proper description of how to use those tools.

Increase the Drop-off Distance in the attributes. This usually fixes it.
I could use the help. I'm trying to place hair cards and I want to accomplish in Maya what the "path deform" does in 3ds Max. I want to bind a hair card to a curve and to be able to control the hair card by manipulating this curve. I want to be able to rotate the geometry as well, by somehow using the curve.
Currently, I'm using a "wire deformer" which isn't ideal at all because I can't rotate the geometry and every time I duplicate the geometry and the curve I need to apply the wire deformer again.

Animation menu> Create Deformers> Wire Tool.
Enter the tool, select your model, hit enter, select your curve, hit enter. Move your curve and it deforms your model.
