To be honest im still trying to get the bloody sword one finished :P
Oh and another question, if we can come in on it, im taking it we can break the 1024 map into smaller maps?
But awesome, im gonna try get the second blade finished tomorrow then move onto this friday night
Looking forward to seeing what everyone does.
UPDATE: So I like where this is going, I think I'll have a lot of fun in the next couple of days after I finish sculpting. I got some more sculpting finished, but I think thats it for tonight.
Crits always welcomed. Can't wait to see what everyone else is gonna do
Im thinking of doing some underwater kind of thing, involving a jellyfish and a rock
I can't help but think of eggplants when i look at the focal object , joking aside i really like how it's turning out!
Still in the sculpting phase,
PatrickL, looks awesome! Im assuming there is going to be something in the middle of the yellow ring? or are the wings and well the focal points?
Mike Yevin, Really nice, good cartoony vibe going on
something like this.... some dirt... maybe some dead foliage or something.
Didnt get as much as I wanted done tonight, got all of my low poly meshes done, unwrapping/baking/texturing will have to wait till tomorrow
I decided to detail the coffin, since it will be the center of attention.
thinking of having it wrapped up in chains, with all of the spiked rocks sticking out of the ground, holding it all up.
and nice stones rdmlegend.
I just hope I can finish for the contest in time. I have yet to even finished the sculpt, I feel like there is so much to do and so little time!
the ground bit is just a placeholder for now, so you can tell the pedestal from everything else. its sitting around 2000 tris atm, so I still have some wiggle room, probably going to be spent on lots of chains
Well I finished my sculpting this afternoon, but thanks to a slow computer and millions upon millions of polygons, I lost all that and I am back to about 75% done. Maybe I'll be up for working on it a little later but for now I'm gonna be working on some other things that still need finishing.
I decided that I'm just gonna call it done where it is and use it as a high poly sculpt for my new portfolio I'm working on. It was fun and definitely taught me a lot about zbrush and specifically subtools.
Hopefully you guys post up what you got, today was the last day
and a breakdown,(BIG): Breakdown
I hope more people finish.
and mike, what happened to your eggplant thingy? was looking forward to seeing that finished.
and if there is a next challenge.. maybe lets do a smaller one? with less scope,
like an environment prop, or single weapon.
probably more people would play along, and more would finish
I have to agree with shrew as well about the next challenge, this was possibly a bit of a stretch for most to complete in just a week (especially when all of us chose to use Zbrush :P). I hope I can participate in the this weeks challenge, but I am going to be pretty busy working on some more portfolio environments I have in my head.
