has anyone used the character mapper before and if yes, how did you guys do it? I tried but i'm stick in "Select a single character or object in a character"
Did you read the help on it?
Never tried using this tool, but by reading the help my guess is you select and load the source characters character set node and then select and load the target characters character set node.
Now you should be able to map different character set attributes in between those. Doing swizzles etc.
I think the Character Mapper is used together with Maya's Character sets. As far as I was able to tell it's used for mapping character A's animated attributes to character B's desired attributes. In other words to get animations from char A to B even though they might not have completely identical rigs, joint rotation axises, etc.
