Hey dudes, this is another miniature sculpt I did for the Board Game Kingdom Death. Hes a badass armoured knight kinda guy called the Forsaker!
I'll post up a few wip snaps as i was going though the proceedure of making him hopefully that gives a bit of an idea of how i tackled this guy.. the concept was paticularly hardcore as hes riddled with detail... detail thats almost impossible to print at 37mm!
Anyway here goes! Enjoy!
Hopefully I'll get some pics of the mini real soon!! cant wait to see some paintjobs as well!
I love the fact that the handle of the weapon is a femur - really awesome detail. I also like the way the bones are continued down the rest of the blade.
The only thing I'd change is I'd put something at the end of the chain in his left hand - it's just begging to be a flail or a mace made of a skull with nails sticking out of the eye sockets or something.
Moosey_G: thanks man, most of those are just zbrush screengrabs - not really fancy renders or anything!
mkandersson: Thanks man! But thats as finished as its ever going to be at this point!
ZacD: Thanks dude!
seth. : Haha the boss does all that :P This was the most difficult one, the concept was insane detailed - we had to remove SO much of it!!
Shad0wForce: The cred's goto a female concept artist - will attempt to track her folio down!
Neox: Thanks dude! haha yeah some simple screengrabs nothing more!
Malus: Dude not is all as it seems, I finished this sculpt like 6 months before I saw you last - I havent done SHIT since I got to the US!!!!
Minotaur0: What you dont see here is how many iterations of REMOVING of detail i did .. more or less compating features and inflating.. ( for a 37mm print ) It was probably the most challenging thing!
danshewan: Thanks man glad you like! And you know what, that hand will be able to hold different weapons i believe Spikey mace's axes and all sorts of grim weaponry!!
X-Convict: Thanks man!
55joe: Cheers!
ivanushka: Im with you man on the cape man - its the worst part. It was really tricky to do a cape that was over thick enough to print at 37mm but still felt like cloth... i think i need to simplify my techniques there.. more hard edges - thanks!!
whats_true: Thanks man, cant wait to see your efffort!!
conte: Thanks man, ill see if i can get the original concept up here: there were a few liberties taken...
woogity: Thanks dude - im not sure when / if any more will be released in the near future! But hopefully!!
Richard Kain: I dont know this guy - *googles* ahaha I see SOME resemblence! Glad you like the sculpt!
