Hey everybody, here is an assault rifle I started a long time ago. I've got about 90% of the model completed, both high and low poly. The reason I set it aside is that I can't seem to wrap my head around normal baking all of the parts of this gun and managing the UV space with all the little parts. Most of the tutorials I've seen show you separating the parts for baking, which makes sense, but then how do you keep it all in one UV space if all the parts are separate? This model has 23 parts at the moment, each has both a high and low poly version. Any tips or tutorials on how to go about baking all the parts onto one UV space?

Just make sure to avoid any 90 degree angles on edges / floating geo or else it will bake pretty terribly and in the case of floating geo not even recognize it
