Can you open ps2 file .TM2 ?

Hey i was interested to se how the textures looks for the ps2 game COD 2 big red one.On the cd i found files with the format .TM2 . If i have understood this right, so is it either a file format ps2 uses for the image files or its a compressd pack with sevral image files.
I have tried to find a proram that could either extract the file or convert it to some other file. But i cant find any.
So i wonder if any of you guys know how to extract,convert or open this file.
