Heya all,
Apologies if this is a copy of an earlier post. I did a quick search on the forums and couldn't find an answer.
I'm having issues with the .psk skeletal meshes that I export from Maya 2010 showing up extremely faceted in UDK. I've tried several solutions, including creating a second UV set, as well as triangulating the mesh before exporting, but unfortunately it does not appear to work.
Has anyone else encountered the same issue, and if so, any tips as to how to fix it?
Thanks in advance! :poly121:

In max you can turn off "bake smoothing groups" and that will fix this. If you can do this try exporting with it turned off.
when you export your mesh a dialog should come up saying:
"unsmooth groups processing [x] verticies added"
how many verticies does it have where I put the 'X'?
You could also try using FBX?

..As for PSK's, I've been using them since the UT3 days, didn't know that Epic officially moved on to FBX's. Good information to know.
