add one more iteration to the trigger mechanism on the taser gun. It looks segmented where it splits and wraps around the receiver.

How did you go about doing the tape wrap on that last piece? Was it all poly modeled or did you use a sculpting program for the tape?
Do you only model in modo?
Just add a couple segments and move them and that makes the tape have wrinkles.

Also shitting firearms sounds dangerous.
you may want to disable shadow casting on the floaters if you can. those shadows are kinda killing the perception that it's a solid piece in the renders.

I keed, I like it a lot and with the striped grip even better. I'd make the grooves shallower though, and maybe with harder edges.
As for shadow casting in modo make a new material group and put a new shader and material in there assigned to a layer with all floating geo. Then disable casting shadows in the shader and that should do it.
Also make sure VBO mode is off under openGL in preferences. That should fix the lag issue we talked about.

hmm...would you mind to share your rendersetup for the the MODO users...Personally i hate to move my models MODO to max just for render and im sure most of people hating this...

There is one thing that bothers me, with the texture of the nail gun: I think the cable's colors pop out too much, it kinda looks like those barber-shop, red, white, and blue spinning-tube-thingies. I think it would be less distracting if you went for a more monochromatic look on that part, IMO.
