Sr. Environment Artist:
Every day you could be:
* Working in a team environment developing next-gen titles for console and PC.
* Offering high level support and artistic vision to a small group of artists on an ongoing basis.
* Independently researching and developing best-case scenarios for art asset development.
* Dictating art style and vision within the specific disciplines to lead artists and development directors.
* Using 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and proprietary software to create next-gen art assets.
What we'd like to see:
* Experience using proprietary editors, software and tools
* Skill at modeling supporting assets with or without concepts and designs.
* Good modeling techniques and practices.
* Solid, efficient UV unwrapping and mapping skills.
* The ability to create custom materials and all associated maps (bump, normal, parallax, spec, etc.) for new or existing assets.
* 3 to 7 years in game development.
* 3 to 9 game titles shipped.
* A strong portfolio, demo reel or Web site that demonstrates high quality art renderings.
* 4 to 6 years of Photoshop experience in a Windows-based environment.
* Ability to work within a style, including a style set by another artist.
* 4-year degree is recommended.
VFX Artist:
* Working in a team environment developing next-generation titles for console and PC.
* Using 3D Studio Max, Maya, XSI or other 3D software.
* Using Photoshop in a Windows-based environment.
* Troubleshooting art assets.
* Creating character powers and weapons, explosive objects and environments.
What We Are Looking For:
* 3 or more years in game development
* 3 or more game titles shipped
* Strong portfolio, demo reel or website demonstrating high quality art renderings
* 4 or more years 3D Studio Max, Maya, XSI, or other 3D software with a focus of applicants specific discipline
* 4 or more years of Photoshop in a Windows based environment
* Experience supporting and managing a small team or work group
* Ability to communicate art style and vision within the specific discipline
* Ability to work within a style including a style set by another artist
* Understanding of techniques for graphical effects, such as multi-pass textures and shaders, character skinning, skeletal animation, HRD, etc.)
* Adept at troubleshooting art assets
* Mastery of MS Office
* Traditional art foundation including color theory, lighting, and form.
* 4 year degree recommended
UI/Concept Artist:
WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE:
Should be able to work intimately with Design, Engineering and the Lead Artist to brainstorm, conceptualize, create and implement all UI elements
Have well rounded 2D and 3D illustration skills. Including a solid understanding of color, space and typography
Traditionally skilled artist with strong fundamentals and an exceptional understanding of composition, space, structure, form and color
Excellent grasp of human anatomy, animal anatomy, industrial and architectural design
Have the ability to create images that read well when at a small scaled down to icons.
Have the ability to create both static and dynamic animated UI systems with a solid understanding of basic animation principles
Have at least 3 years experience creating user interfaces
Have the ability to create heads-up-displays that reflect game-play needs
Ability to learn proprietary and consumer user interface tools
Ability to generate website and marketing content
Ability to take direction from Lead Artist
Ability to work within a schedule and deliver assets as required on time
YOUR PORTFOLIO SHOULD CONTAIN:
2 to 5 years in game development
2 to 8 game titles shipped
Strong portfolio, demo reel or website demonstrating high quality art renderings.
3 to 5 years of Photoshop in a Windows based environment
4 year degree recommended
