First was a great game, but McGee hasn't done anything sense that gives me confidence in his ability to replicate its success. Just like with Oddworld, will remain cautiously optimistic until more is shown.
The screenshots look a bit retouched, but it's clearly a hell of a big step up from Grimm and Bad Day LA. Here's hoping the rest of the game is similarly improved.
I'm not excited to be honest. I don't trust mr McGee after the other superflops he's made.
If they bring back the original peeps or at least the top dogs that were on the project there's a chance.
Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. Anyway, great art style doesn't = great game. I'm gonna remain skeptical for now.
Very exciting, Alice was a masterpiece. What seems to be a decision to "go zombie" is a logical choice considering its quite the trend, and the gloomy, somewhat ironic take worked so well in Batman Returns. Don't like the way they've handled the technology tho, the forest sshots look like they could use some art direction. But overall seems like its gonna be a worthy sequel.
We've got a couple (that I know of) PCers here that used to work on the original.. Deranged (if he still visits) and Aaron... the skinner. Wonder what they'd have to say.
@ HP: The game has aged very well, good art doesn't die so fast. Worth checking out.
It's not on steam tho, and amazon only have used copies. I haven't torrented a game for years now, and I don't wanna break that streak with American McGee's Alice.
The whole "zombie" thing is based off of what? The pictures? Erm, anyway, I think they could write it in well, and could make it so Wonderland is decaying, which could be an incredible environment and design theme. In example, Alice could be suffering from dementia, and as her brain decays, so too does the world around her.
That's pretty awesome, and disturbing. Though, the blood and teeth spewing out of her mouth, that's a bit too surreal for me. I have dreams very frequently about my teeth falling out....or breaking and falling out.....or pulling my own teeth out, often by accident. ;~; Still, looks pretty much amazing. Can't wait to see more.

The Burton rendition was shallow and boring, IMO.

But damn, that teaser was awesome and enough to make me wanna buy the game.

Best use of twitter ever? From the trailer:
"Follow @thewhiterabbit on twitter"
I wonder if it's going to be PC only, or there're plans to release it on 360/ps3?
Kind of makes me want to play the original again, it holds up so well.
