we've got a couple assets which somehow have been given double sided geometry (hair, think someone didn't know about cullmode off and copied the polys, flipped normals and merged)
is there a one-step solution I can use to strip the reverse facing polies? hair with alpha planes so doing this by hand would be a pain in the diddies
I've already tried cleanup, without luck. maybe I'm missing an option somewhere?

after a bit more fiddling it looks like none of the verts are welded :S
and of course it won't let me weld them, to avoid creating lamina faces!

willy: since the verts are unwelded, its like.. hundreds of seperate meshes in one object..
