Okay I recently just finished revising my site and I could really use your guys input on it. Things like site layout, average load times, if there are weird errors for non firefox users, etc.

Also, crit the HELL out of the work featured on it! Let me know if this stuff is good enough to get into the industry with, I am constantly working on stuff to improve, I just want to know how far off I am :D

Lastly let me know if I should have my character art on there. I do now because I don't have a lot of environment stuff to show yet as I have recently changed my focus. So that stuff will eventually be squeezed out, but for now is it helping me at all, or should I just ditch it?

Heres the link : http://www.cdb-art.com/

Thanks all :D

    awesome site.

usually you'd want only environment art but the characters show that you can do organic stuff as well. personally i'd say ditch the scarecrow and shaman. they kinda take away from the presentation and the other two characters show off your skill sufficiently.

some wireframes would be nice too.

@se7ered - Thanks man, do you mean wireframes of the characters or wireframes of the individual assets in the pirate scene and props?

    Cool stuff.

I like your pirate base. However I think the lighting should be revisited. It's not totally flat lighting but I think it's a bit bland for this scene, I'd personally like to see a bit more contrast. With that in mind maybe crank up the specular highlights on the metal just a bit more as well.

Also some added details (foliage, small rocks, etc...) to where different objects intersect with the mountainside and ground would make this piece a bit stronger.

I think your work is certainly good enough to break into the industry, but it doesn't hurt to be better so just keep at it. I also think you should start applying to places and taking some art tests if you haven't already.

    Good luck :)
