Sweet models, reminds me of halo/ut3 guns great job. How ever thoose grey parts on the purpule gun looks a bit weird. from some angles they give a kinda chrome reflection and from other it just looks like mat grey. You might wanna take a look at that texture.
The yellow jacket is rather unappealing in first person view. The big cylinder right in your face just isn't attractive and hides the rest of the weapon. It's well modeled, but keep in mind when designing first person things that flow is essential, and it has to look good from first person and not just a 3/4 view.
Perhaps if you made the canister smaller and more off to the side the design would work better, idk. It just goes from super fat to thin and looks strange.
I like the tornado gun, I think it works really well in first person view. Good concept. I might try and model it myself one of these days!
The textures are all around a bit bland. I see lots of flat colors with some minor wear with an odd painterly look. These assets could really benefit from some unique detail on the spec to make it all look more dynamic! Even clean things have a little bit of wear, and that little amount helps sell the materials for sure.
thanks guys, i really appreciate it. as far as the crits, you guys are dead on accurate. the FPS views were not strong enough and the texturing left a lot to be desired. I learned a lot from these 2 though and i think the next one I do should be firing on all cylinders.

ssochicken they are the same textures just shown in marmoset, m not sure what you mean, but i think you're talking about the black grip thing? its a grip to hold while switching out the canister :P poor heavy reload time!

im planning on doing a very minor animation (just cam moves) of a couple gray shaded models to satisfy my hardon for cinematics. so im using my marine and yellow jacket gun
im essentially going to copy the intro to wrath of the lich king cinematic with my marine sitting on a a conquered protoss throne. here is the start

also I like the yellow more on the concept as on the lowpoly
im with racer on this, (the guys is good with crits :P )
and for textures, work more on shaders and try to combine more materials
u have alot of details on them which give u the option to use more materials
break it down more
but this is really nice overall
