Hey guys, since Singularity just shipped today I figured I should finally get my work up and out there. I've got both Xmen Origins: Wolverine and Singularity stuff to show.

I looked into getting a more user friendly viewer script running last night but ran into some problems. Going to try again tonight.
I got a quick question though, I notice on your site it says you're a Senior Env Artist, but you note on the XMen / Singularity stuff that you did level dressing / blocking. I am yet to get my first job in the industry so I have no idea the way studios work internally, but is that commonplace? I always assumed the Seniors would be physically creating a lot of the assets or at least being largely involved with their creation.
I read about outsourcing for props and assets becoming more popular so I guess that could be a factor.
Great work throughout your site though!
Raven has Env artists who create assets and those who work purely in the level editor. The guys in the editor oversee the construction of levels and direct the assets being produced. While the asset Env artists make awesome shit.
Hope that helps.
Great work. Game turned out fantastic and is a blast in multiplayer. You guys did a great job with that.
Gotta agree though that a next button would be amazing to have.
Ah I see, thanks for explaining!
So are you a level designer or an environment artist? You should show us more renders and wireframes of the assets you've done.
Raven breaks things down a lot more to help with the pipeline.
There are
- Level Designers (usually block levels out, do scripting, events, etc)
- Environment Artists / World Builders (which is what Justin does, Builds enviros around the blockouts from the LDs using assets from the Asset Builders)
- Environment Artists / Asset Builders (take what the world builders need and what the concept artist creates and builds the actual assets for the World Builders to fill environments out with)
- Texture Artists (self explanatory)
Thanks for the suggestion!

I'll have to second the loading time on the images though. It's painful to say the least. Good thing your work makes it worth the wait, but I would def. fix that if I were you.
I'll look into the load times when I get back from the trip I'm on.
Also, I used a script called lightbox for my gallery viewing, you can find it on Google.
Maybe it's just me, but every time I notice the lightbox script in use my hand automatically goes to the arrow keys. Left & Right arrow keys let you scroll through the pics easily. Works 90% of the time unless it has been explicitly disabled.
So, beautiful work !
