Lots of good stuff happening to me right now so I should be happy. I'm one of those guys though that let the little things get him down so I'm around 50-60% happy. Plus i constantly worry.
I'm happy but not as much as I could be. I'm in a constant state of stress from being a contractor, not to mention I have s.a.d and I'm a hypochondriac (though getting much better!)
It's hot and humid, it rains and rains, I had an impossible mission, chaos and confusion, lots of asian people getting in my way...and no, it's not 'Nam...I just tried to get a taxi. damn rain!
dunno i guess its 60+ or something, not entirely happy with my situation, while airborn is going on again thanks to the e3 beeing over, i've got enough work to do and don't have to worry for months - if there wouldn't be the bad situation here in germany, so many studios got closed or collapsed down to beeing browsergame developers, i can't see it anymore, beeing in the industry here for so long i feel like i'm marking time, studios not answering mails doesn't make it any better
Happyness is somewhere over the horizon and I am walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking to it for soo long. But still 40+ 'cause you have to enjoy little things.
ah, there's 2 "SAD"s then, Seasonal Affective Disorder and Social anxiety disorder (the seasonal one popped up first for me). Do you get panic attacks with it?

This is what I thought at first too, never seen Social Anxiety Disorder called 'S.A.D' before, despite it being obvious.
Sorry to hear that man, I suffer from other anxiety related issues and OCD which can be an absolute nightmare, I know how hard it can get.
It's a whole nother thread in itself (one which I'm sure doesn't belong on PC, ya know that rule) but I bet there's actually a lot of people on here who do find themselves with anxiety/personal performance/phobia etc issues, and I think it's to do with creative minds. I've always figured that having a creative mind offers so many incredible positives, artistic ability, imaginative thinking, etc etc, but of course it can have it's negatives which can sometimes lead to some pretty depressing times.
I guess you could say 'the dark side of a creative mind' which is probably a book written by some rich psychologist, and if it's not, it should be.
Currently I'm at 40% I think, being unemployed is always a big downer for me, and I think I'm normally around 70-90% when I got a job. So anyone who wants to cheer me up, knows what to do.
It's hard for me. I'm grateful I have a job, but I have to work two jobs to afford living on my own and paying off my student loans. Any given week I work between 60-70 hours. What freetime I do manage to get between jobs ends up getting sucked up to random freelance work given to me by my part-time job. I haven't had time to work on expanding my portfolio since I graduated college in September. I live 2 hours away from most of my school friends and boyfriend, 7 hours away from my family, so it gets pretty lonely. And my part-time job is trying (and succeeding) to drain me of the one thing that I held sacred in my life: the weekends. No, I'm not really happy at this point in my life, but that doesn't mean I'm completely without hope it'll improve eventually.
