TF2 - Polypack - IZRA
hi there new guy here. its just my luck that i happen to find out about this contest yesterday and the normal thing i would do is say "damn, guess i m too late for it". well i decided that ill give it a try anyways. i rather fail trying than not try at all. so here it goes.
Class : Soldier
theme: warrior collection
I always enjoyed the fact that Soldier is a complete War junky. so i figured that he must have a collection of ancient war artifacts , and since he fancys himself a great warrior, im sure that hes would use some of them himself .
the Eagle warrior
Basically, the headdress of an Aztec (or mayan) eagle warrior. guess the phrase "screaming eagles" really went to his head (haha get it? get it? oh forget it).
next is Sun Zoo's Happy dragon
yes i know its Sun "Tzu", but given how the Soldier has this twisted perception of history, i dont think he would noticed the difference.
lastly the is the Skull Mace
now this one was based on the image of those old skull maces but they are made from brass. i choose to make a really primitive weapon made from bones. maybe the spikes are a tad unrealistic but i can always remove them .
please let me know what you think.
BTW- anyone know in what steam folder are the weapon models? having a hard time finding them

To get into the content folder you need a program called GCFscape (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26) and then you can extract say if you wanbted the direct hit it would be in C_models>C_directhit remove all folders in that as to where you need them and open the MDL file editing it with Notepad++ changing the 5 thing in useally a 0 (so IDST0) with a , then with the help of MDLDecomppiler you select this MDL file and it makes it into a SMD depeneing on what program you plan to use you will need a plug in to import this file.
Not to sure if thats what you wanted to know but throurght it be best to tell you anywho :V but yeah im sorry if you did already know half of that
Just to give a warning, there's a dragon-rocket launcher already finished, and I know I've seen a Native American headdress for soldier somewhere before...
on general your theme sounds like a "Whatever I want" kind of theme
