Working on making a Sci-fi rifle atm..
It will end up as an ingame model once I'm happy with the highres.
I could use some feedback if anyone has anything to say?
Looks really interesting but i cant tell if this is going to be a Sniper kind of rifle ore what, and is it going to shoot plasma bullets ore normal? if normal where is the clip? and if this is going to be a sniper i cant see a head rest for a more comfortable position at shooting point... but besides that Looking good keep it up
I think what hurts it the most is that it's too thin and flat to some degree. There doesn't seem to be an overall style that holds it together, seems pretty random.
I personally like the like the style of it, but I think it could use a dash of additional details to make it seem natural. Some ergo or texturing on the grip and at least a fore grip or barrel-shroud kinda-grip at the front to stabilize it. And I'd also second the motion by others here that there should be something to rest your cheek on even if it's just removing the bits that stick out on each side of the receiver rear.
i like this mate, it looks like the kind of gun id enjoy using in a sci fi shooter. It has a kind of dirty space feel to it which im very much a fan of, simple shapes but still obviously different from current technology also it uses recognizable shapes from current weapon. Cant wait to see it finished with a nice spec map.
I really like the additions you made in the new 'back to modeling' phase. What about adding the cocking lever to it as well? Also where do the expended shells eject from?

are you going to put some optics and stuff on the picatinny rails?
The modeling is solid and so is the texturing - I think you should name it the BF "shark" 1.0
my mind exploded.... what?!?
