Hey folks, been postponing this for a while but decided to make a sketchbook now to get some feedback on my stuff, focusing on sculpting (but might have one or 2 paintings once in a while)
sweet jesus thats a rad dragon! Put this in the Pimping forum zomg!
exquisite detail in all of these man, f'ing awesome. I think though with the Keanu/Dorian guy, you could do a bit more with the details still [on areas that look complete-ish] - the scarf is a little flat, could maybe have a little "puff" to it.
This is some great stuff! I wanna texture that dragon!
Hi Daniel! Why are you posting this on SB section? They are all finished/top level quality! This level is what you consider sketches? So, my sketches are less than crap!
Vey impressive works, my friend. Mainly the dragon. I'll be following your thread, keep it up your amazing work!
Moose: thanks for the C & C man, really appreciate it, u'r right about dorian, i gotta get back to him and fix that, and maybe try to finish him as well
Enodmi: thanks man, i gotta finish this dragon as well
Zack: thank you very much dude, appreciate it!
Holi / killingpeople: thank you guys, gotta finish it
amauri: hey man, thanks for the kind words, yeah they'r pretty close to completition with exception of dorian, just post these here since they'r my most recent stuff, and your stuff is looking sweet btw! u'r getting better every second!
marlfox8: thanks, yeah i guess i gotta keep going with it.
finally had some time to work on new stuff, here's a rough sculpt of ken masters from street fighter. trying to give him my own take:
I've also just entered the new boss battle contest at cgsculpt.org and will be posting the progress of the sculpt here as well, for now here's the sketch for the character:
for your concept art. Do you doodle on the sketchbook or digitally.
Or just sculpt stuff directly.
EDIT: I've been looking over peoples' work and they seem to not take time to draw the little details as long as they have the basic idea on the paper or digitally.
bretmecnee:thanks a lot dude! really appreciate it!
nitewalkr: thanks for the kind words man, glad you like it, for my concept art i usually like to doodle something before going to the sculpt, that way i find i don't limit myself to software. i either digitally or on paper, whatever i feel like
enodmi: hhahahah thank you kind sir.
scudz: that's because u'r more than just mighty, u'r almighty!
almost forgot to post the finals here, but remembered today, anyways here it is:
