Old Man WIP

Here's the beginning of a character i'm doing for a side project with some classmates and instructors at school. I wont dabble into too much detail but this guy's name is Drew, and he watches over the junkyard that will be the first level of the game we're doing (just a demo right now). I spent most of today retoping the hair and basic roughing the hat. and did a little bit of detailing in the face (the wrinkles in the eyes). Just posting the WIP to see what u all think.

Also we are aiming for a cartoony style, so im not going for realism here. The game will be mostly hand painted with a bit of cell shading. kind of like borderlands.

lol looks like my gran dad.... mmm i feel like the ears are a bit to big and he has no lips? he got teeth ore none?

dont know about teeth yet. im sure he will have them tho. as i said its a WIP so i havent gotten to the ears yet. did the lips today as well as making the proportions look a bit more real.. giving everything some gravity. the ears are actually that big too. because of the cartoony style, the concept i was given had giant ears. i thought it was a bit too much at first bit i was just told to make em bigger.

Lips looking better. I think i liked the cheeks he had before the new ones look a bit to much just my opinion besides that nice work

revisited this guy. im pretty satisfied with the face now. i think ill move on.
