I have recently started to dive into a new scene, but every time i pull it up in a game window, the frames dive, to 5-10 fps.
this is with one light, one static mesh w/~5000 tris and a set of 2048 maps.
funny thing is is that with 50 of these, it runs at the same speed.
I havent added any post processing, everything is set to default.
I thought it might be the model or something i did wrong, but i imported it into an old scene in the old build, and even with 20 lights, hundreds of thousands of polygons, lots of textures, and a few of the previous mentioned meshes,
it runs with 120-150 fps.
what happened???:poly127:

Even in the official UDK forum, there are people finding the same issue: updating or using old drivers should help.
Updating driver has not helped me with my nVidia 8600GT, so actually I'm working with the April release that is fine.
all of my gfx drivers are up to date.
one thing it might be is the fact that the new version is 64 bit.
maybe the next version will be smoother.
till then Im on the april release.
just out of curiosity, are you using the 32 or 64 bit version?
