Yea, realize not our forte, but thus far have not found anyone experienced with the UDK whom can give an answer. If nothing else, those of you working with programmers and technical oriented might know.

We are having multiple issues getting UDK to see on each users end, all the assets we are using for our folder outside the udkgame directory. We are specifically not wanting to use the udkgame directory as it will be easier for us to separate our assets and such from the built in ones.

As it is, we also do not want to upload a whole UDKgame directory. Some of us have limited bandwidth for such transfers.

How is this setup correctly? As in what files do we need to repository and script differently from the udkgame directory to consistently see all assets in this other.

If I make no sense. Here is a programmers viewpoint:
We are at present attempting to implement some clean-room procedures by keeping our content directories in a separate directory than the core udk files.

While this worked to a degree using svn in conjunction with the march beta, sharing those changes with one another required also committing the

\UDK\UDK-2010-03\UTGame\Content\GameAssetDatabase.journal

file in order to view the data contained in the packages in the editor. It's quite possible we made a misstep there, as we are experiencing some fairly hefty issues upgrading to the may beta. Mainly missing references to packages and the like.

I can't seem to find a detailed writeup for the needs for a similar setup. Is this a unique configuration attempt? If not, what is the proper configuration procedure for this particular setup combination?
