Some wire grabs from max, still gotta optimise the gun a bit more, but this was about 1-2hrs of lpoly work

It's certainly recognizable as a pistol. The design is convincing though I can't help but think it's a little bare. You've already modeled in a little bit of text on the high so perhaps put some larger trademarks on the slide? Otherwise labels and such on the textures should help a lot.
The biggest issue I see is the sights. They're oddly thin and tall, and look rather dinky compared to the rather meaty slide and frame design. Real sights are usually quite flat and wide. Perhaps try something like these:
So yeah I'd consider having a another short look at the design and refine some things. It's a good start and looks fairly beefy and should be a good base to work from!
Did you fix the width of the hammer back there so it's bigger? Can't see from this angle.
Yeah it could use some shapes on the rear of the slide to make it a little more interesting. Something like this.
K final lpoly, i really need to move on from this gun so calling it done and starting the uv. Weighs in @ 2908 tris, optimised a few more things since the render
also, your getting some stretching near the trigger.
The main culprit is the wave edges around the circular piece on the tactical addon
Keep going!
Crits plx :d
Try to define the base metal a bit more, make it dark in the diffuse and bright in the specular, that way you get that nice shine effect which makes metal look like metal.
Mind showing the maps you have so far?
//e: what makes it look most generic is that there is no contrast whatsoever in your texture. Everything just blends in grey into grey, try to make the rubber of the grip area black or something and increase the areas gloss.
//e2: little overpaint
Also for christ's sake post larger pictures pls kk?
Here's a bigger image for you
What's with the fad with tape on guns? A lot of the time people just put that crap on there randomly to increase the indie functionality on it. I see NO functionality of it being there.
Also great point on the flashlight lense, i'll go back and tweak that.
It's anchoring a pressure-switch control for the tac light / laser sight module.
Raider, that will be $19.95 + 8% tax.
If you did this, then its most likely that you didnt split the uv shells at the smooth group borders since you got fucked up black edges.
