TF2 - Polypack - Man of Popsicle

I'm unsure if I'll be able to finish my models in time, but I'd still like to get them done eventually even if just to submit, so I figured why not. I had a few ideas for the scout already, so I just brainstormed some more and came up with a few items.

The Big Deal (secondary)
Technically not a weapon, this item replaces the pistol, much like the sniper's Razorback. It's a catcher's chest protector which covers most of the scout's front. I imagine it reducing blast, fire, and bullet damage. The obvious downside here is that you lose your pistol. I'm terrible with concept art, but I imagine it looking something like this:

Of course, the shirt is the scout's only real way of identifying his team association, so I plan on making the shoulder pads, or maybe some other big obvious part of the thing, change color depending on the scout's team.

Charlatan's Corker (melee)
short version: It's a corked bat
long version: The bat itself is wooden, like the sandman. However, it's a bit longer, increasing its range, and it comes with a hefty increase in damage. However, after so many hits (I'd say 16 but I'm sure testing would be needed to perfect that number), it cracks in half. As for details, when the bat is intact, cork is visible through the top. There is an existing crack in the bat which is taped up in the middle so the bat can function. When broken, the bat is rendered useless, and the cork is clearly visible.

FM Tuner (headgear)
It's a big, bulky pair of retro headphones. Each earpiece has an antenna. The earpieces have volume and tuning knobs on them, as well as a small window where the tuning needle can be seen.

I'd love some feedback on these, what's good, what needs work. All in all I just want to be sure this is worth pursuing before I dive in.
