Getting Weapons Models Out For TF2 And Into 3ds Max

I can't seem to find info on this subject anywhere. All I want to do is find the model of the Flamethrower for the Pyro in TF2 in the source sdk folder or tf2 folder or wherever it resides and get it into Max.

I found the Pyro model just fine with bones intact that I can pose however I want. The file doesn't include any weapons though. And I can't find any folders containing weapons for any characters.

I'm trying to create models for the "Polycount Pack" Contest but I can't model my weapons if I don't know what the placement and size of the original weapon is.

I already have an .smd importer for Max so if I can find the .smd file I can get it into Max.

I'm sure I'm not the first one with this question but I couldn't find any other threads about it.
