Hey guys. I decided to enter this contest.
I'm going to be making two weapons and a hat for the Pyro.
Primary weapon - "The Rubbish'o Fire" (work in progress name) - replacing the flamethrower
Made out of rubbish pieces found in a scrapyard, alimented by a gascan, or maybe some other burning compound.
current state:
Melee weapon - No name yet - replacing the fireaxe
This weapon will feature a wood stick with a bent wheel attached to it in some way.
Hat - still thinking
I really need some clarification about this contest. Are we asked to make a skin for current weapons or create different weapons that work in different ways? For example: to replace a shotgun, will I have to make another shotgun which shoots the same way as the old one, or can I make a cannon to replace it, which clearly doesn't shoot bullets nor works the same way. Or say I want to make a replacement for the huntsman. Will it still have to be a bow?

A little starter for my primary weapon. I won't give it a name until it's done
I want to go with the "Homebrew" look to it, built of pieces found in places like scrapyards. It features a wooden staff that acts as a support structure for the rest. It shoots trough a gaspump nozzle, bent to make the fire go straight.
So, what kind of a theme are you looking at? I feel that the Pyro is one of the more difficult classes to build around because so little is known.
I've flipped the weapon and fixed the shape of the staff and the tubes
So your flamethrower will either just flame (BB replacement) or flame and blast air (FL replacement). It shouldn't and wont do anything else. You can always suggest some stat modifications or a new functionality but that's all it is, a suggestion.
Also, what exactly am I looking at here, all I can make out is a log with some pipes wrapped around it. I have no idea what you're doing O.o
Like, just draw over my pic
Well it is in fact a flamethrower. The fire will start from that gaspump nozzle (I'll have to put it a bit forward as it mimetizes too much with the rest). But yes, it will shoot fire. Even if I made it replace the normal flamethrower, I wouldn't still need to create an air propeller device as valve would probably not include the same ferature in two flamethrowers (if this ever will get a chance to win, naturally)
Thank you!
