So, is your theme basically "Teutonic Knight" or maybe "Crusader"? (German Medieval war stuff?)
The Medic symbol fits the Cross symbol on the knights' stuff.
The saw looks great in game. I like the gold, it makes it different. You could tie the things visually together with some gold highlights.
If you need some Crusader inspiration/ideas to put engravings on the weapons/blades/helm you could use illuminated manuscripts/fake Latin inscriptions (all public domain, so you could do a paint over for the texture)-
(figured out how to make it appear in the model viewer aswell lol)
I've also started working on the helmet but its not worth showing right now
@Khthon: It's not very specific just german medieval inspired stuff, I pretty much just searched around for old german stuff and took parts of whatever looked cool. Still, thanks, might come in handy at some point.
@The Red Man: i reckon it would, since it doesnt change game mechanics, just the model.
@xilefian: I can see what you mean, id rather not go back and work on it more right now tho, but who knows, maybe ill have another look later.
Anyway, heres what i got on the helmet so far:
It's somewhere around 900 tris right now, so not too far off the guideline, not quite sure as to what kind of details im going to add (not quite true, i have atleast one idea) , i think i might make the screwthing larger (it also has a bit of an inside so you cant really see through it at normal angles)
edit:
@Ritz: I know its a bit off from the red on the backpack, but i didnt really like that shade of red on the weapon so i changed it a bit
I know you're trying to go exaggerated, but maaaan the actual blade looks much too big.. or perhaps it's how angular it is that makes it appear that way.
To warrent that size it has to look deadly, and it doesn't, it looks flimsy. Like it should wobble if you tried to actually saw anything with it.
Maybe it'll look better when you age/rust it up, but for now it looks very clean and non-threatening.
Helmet looks great, though goofy with the glasses on under.
Question: You have team skins on the helmet and I was wondering if they actually work or you just replaced the texture for screen takes? Cause I'm having issues with getting a team hat to work :< Could you post the QC?
Is there any way to add a semitransparent black solid to the inside of the helmet, so that his face would appear shadowed? It's looking fantastic but the face still looks really bright on the inside.
I am really liking the saw.
The helmet looks a little small on the medic though, I'd say make it slightly larger and see if it looks better or not.
and the crossbow syringe gun looks really nice.
However its really pissing me off due to 3 things:
View model looks bad because one of his fingers clips through the front grip, i dont understand why they decided to put his finger there
Syringes come out too low, ive tried to fix this but without succes
The trigger rotates at the wrong place/gets misaligned ingame, tried to fix this without succes aswell
Alright so i made it somewhat smaller, also changed the trigger to make it work with the animations (since moving bones apparently doesnt work, maybe it uses the anims from the regular syringeguns v model or something, i dunno), im just going to have to let valve deal with those things:
Really loving your theme so far, the crossbow looks great too. Only thing bothering me is the horizontal grip thing that the medics left hand is holding ( can't for the life of me remember its proper name), it looks rather square and uncomfortable to hold. How about a strap of leather or cloth spun around it and held in place with string or something?
Might kind of clash with your theme though.
Saw and helmet are now final, red is now same as on the backpack, some more wear and tear etc, all that is left now is ze crossbow
Ill try get some ingame pics later btw
@Khthon: To be honest im pretty bad at coming up with names (terrible in fact), the only decent idea i have is Palamedic's Protection for the helm. Im liking Berliner's Bucket-helm, The Amputator and Crusader's Crossbow tho, might just go with that.

i hope this medic pack wins for sure. I signed up just to spill this pointless droll. But honestly, no offense to any other medic packs, but this is the only unique one i've seem to have found. Most of the other ones are just slight reskins, such as, ooh, a needle gun for the medic?

Thanks for all the comments

It has been confirmed as to being this:
Howered details are still unclear, all we know is that its around 950 tris.
Either way, would like some comments before i move onto texturing and whatnot.
it'l look just right.
And Im not very goot at getting good screens
the gun's the only part left now and you've got. 22 days do to it

@pw pw pw: Good idea altho Im not entirely sure as to how I would go about it, Ill keep it in mind.
@Habboi: They do work and its quite easy, heres the qc for the helmet:
That is all.
imo the grip is a bit wobbly and undefined, but since it can't be seen too much anyways, there's worse things on this planet
Maybe you could have a gun stock that folded up that would be opened up.
The helmet looks a little small on the medic though, I'd say make it slightly larger and see if it looks better or not.
and the crossbow syringe gun looks really nice.
@Hotdogbunker: I don't think a folding stock would work very well tbh
@Andrew Mackie: You might be right, I did make it a rather tight fit
@Khthon: Itis atleast 40% wood
Todays update consists of a reworked grip, a handle thingy and a medic logo that I'm not too sure about (also a somewhat first person view):
Also I'm going to go back a bit to the helmet (and possibly saw) texture, you better look forward to it.

other then that im happy with how its turning out
ditto. It looks pretty huge

But I have to ask, why not make the helmet's color the same color as the backpack's color?
@Ikimono: Im not a big fan of the red on the backpack, but ill put up some variations to see what you guys think
Saw and helmet are now final, red is now same as on the backpack, some more wear and tear etc, all that is left now is ze crossbow

So what are items' names?
hat - Teutonic Tall-helm? Berliner's Bucket-helm?
melee- The Amputator? Lacerator's Lance? Medieval Monster?
needlegun- Crusader's Crossbow? the Man-At-Arms?
Like the Equalizer and the Razorback.
10 points for ingenuity!
Thanks!
