Hello there!

This is my first ever attempt at making anything at all but I figured it would be *learnable* in a few weeks. My ideas are for the Demoman:

-A cutlass for the demoman (the swords pirates use yes.)

-A pirate hat with skull and crossbones.

-A second eye-patch? (imagine the fun)

-A secondary lunch box item, the can of haggis.

I'll try and post some concepts later.

I have no experience whatsoever with modeling or texturing but I've been told that making hats and skins is fairly doable.

Okay I've got the concept of the Cutlass down on paper. I even came up with a name! I present thee "The Cutlassie"™ (XD). Pics will be uploaded tomorrow when I get my crappy concept under my scanner.

Just thought of another item that could replace the second eyepatch. I'm thinking of a hat with the name "The Grog Goggles" or "The Beer Goggles". I think the grog goggles go better with the pirate team but I'm not sure if people would get the beer goggles reference.

Aaaand another thing, the can of haggis could be replaced with a bottle lunchbox item, "The Buccaneers Bottle". Drinkable rum, yaay.

Got the handle for the Cutlassie done. It does require some tweaking but overall I'm satisfied with it. (Remember I've never done anything with modeling whatsoever. Not in 3dsmax nothing.)

You'll be fine. You have five weeks. Hell I'm gonna attempt jiggle bones later on. Just be careful of polycount is all. Press 7 for statistics although if you want triangle count then you'll need to click the +, settings or preferences and then statistics and tick triangle count and total + selection.
