Hey guys,
im new to this stuff , so dont be mean,
ive got my blueprints of my car cut out and everything, and now when i try have then as my blueprints in 3ds max, they just dont line up,
btw im doing the blue prints as viewport backgrounds, and yes i have the settings right, i just cant get the bluepints to line up, Help please

Humm I usually avoid using the viewport background for blueprint setup.....I go through the plane/material setup. Check this out, it might help ya

your much better off using correctly proportioned planes rather than viewport backgrounds. they're far easier to work with and setup, and the display quality is much much better
follow the 2nd tutorial tekmatic posted. go to the material editor and hold down the 'show standard map in viewport' button now change it to the second option and make sure its pressed down. this will increase the display quality dramatically
1 with hardware on 1 with it off.
i put the map into the self illumination slot aswell. this just overrides the scene lighting.

'Select the plane called 'Side' and apply the material, also click the checkered square to 'Show map in Viewport':'
instead of just turning it on, hold it down and select the second option then turn it on. thats what improves the quality
