Hey, I am fairly new to modeling and this is my first attempt to really model something nice. I hope to get into the game industry someday as either an environmental or weapon modeler. Any feedback, tips, tricks, or tutorials that you know of that would help me in my endeavors would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, you can't link images directly from your hard drive, you will have to upload them to an image hosting service such as Photobucket, Imageshack or Dropbox. Or your own FTP, if you have it.
Then you can link them and they will display here.
That was my mistake, sorry about that. Was kinda late when I did it. When I realized I made a mistake I couldn't change it because administrator had to authorize it lol.
Anyways, doesn't look too bad so far. May want to upload a larger image (even if it just shows part of your model, it's hard to see the texturing at the moment) and a wireframe as well.
Ok, I took some more closeups and also added a couple of wireframe pics. I should also add that the model is 484 polys. I tried to keep it as low as possible. I also wanted to know in the gaming industry if its ok to paint your model in Mudbox instead of doing it in Photoshop?
Yeah not much to comment on yet, although the texture does feel flat and not "custom" for this model. Try to add details and such. Also, the base of the texture feels random.
It also feels like metal, is it supposed to be metal? If so add more details that give the impression of metal. Wear and scratches and stuff, but nothing too uniform.

Kind of reminds me of the Tek bow.
